When Loccra uses the network
The private beta uses the network for explicit setup operations: obtaining the reviewed model files from their approved source. These large files are downloaded once, verified against expected checksums, and installed into Loccra’s managed model directory.
Ordinary image generation and editing do not need network access after setup. Loccra does not use a remote inference API for the Create or Edit workflow.
What Loccra stores
Loccra keeps model files, projects, output images, runtime metadata, and technical logs in managed locations on your Mac. A project can include the prompt, Avoid text, style, format, seed, model identifier, creation date, and local output reference so Gallery remains useful after relaunch.
Diagnostics without creative surveillance
Technical logs are intended to diagnose readiness, runtime, model, and generation failures. Full prompts are not logged by default. Exported diagnostics should redact usernames, home-directory paths, URLs, and creative filenames rather than turning private work into support telemetry.
Your responsibilities still matter
Local inference protects one important boundary, but it does not replace normal Mac security. File sharing, cloud backup, screenshots, other installed applications, and anyone with access to your user account can affect the privacy of local files. Keep macOS updated and use appropriate device access controls for sensitive work.
Plain-language summary
- No prompt or source-image upload is required for generation.

- Internet is required for the initial model installation.

- Removing the app does not automatically mean every locally created file is removed.
